An artist’s initial broad stroke is always most impactful. Creating is a very intimate, closed universe for me. It’s just me, basically. I have to inspire myself; I have to do everything by myself.
I obsessively add layer upon layer of paint, material, media … to fill in details often diminishes the painting’s aura. When an aura is lost, it is impossible to get back.
